The big picture:
Update 26th January 2013

Sorry, no photos, i'm about 2000km and three weeks away from home so you will have to read.

with some time to spare, I got out my measurements etc and had a look. On the semiscale plan I have done some thinking and measuring, calculating and recording to determine a bit more the size of the layout.

I have come up with 27ft by 3.5 ft for the main station and curves either side. The platform will be about 8ft long. I hope to use no 7 points on code 80 track ( I have a fastrack #7 jig for code 80 rail so hope to use it) rather the the beefier code 100 to letthe rail be small and not too tall.

Track spacing may be close to scale, at 7cm track centers BUT I have a catch. MY few bits og PBR rollingstock has to be used on this and there is one coach I need to verify totally that wagon, so have another month to check.

On another front a person who is quite friendly, into the hobby in On30 and also into miniature trains well & truly - might be interested in this project. It would get it off the ground, but can I work with him ! :)

Untill next time gents&ladies
