Here are some photos of progress on the layout. As this is the first progress report there is a lot to see.
The baseboards are done, hinged and bolted together to stop it folding under construction. The trackwork is complete. And balsa sleepers are progressively being glued in.
I have also painted tow areas with two different colours. This is , after all a test bed as well for my permenant layout. Two brownish colours are trialled, one more tan than brown, and lighter brown. One may be good for mainline, the other for sidings. The aim is not "new" track but worn old battered aged track.
