Plan 8 -October 2006
This is the second 'progress' plan as I construct the room. It IS different to plan 7.
This plan has changed in many areas.
- A - Lower return loop staging triangle. This allows a continous loop run to access the staging or head direct baclk to the main station.
- B - Lower return loop staging entry/exit to modelled layout.
- C - MAIN STATION, this is the biggest station on the layout.
- D - MAIN STATION, Industry yards, may be optional, at least as a shunting neck for the main station.
- E - MAIN STATION, Loco depot, the only turntable on the line.
- F - Large imposing bridge over big gully.
- G - The smallest mainline station. The station generates alot of intermodel traffic
- H - A juntion at "G" for the continuous loop connection back to "A"
- i - Passing loop
- J - Industrial/Mine spur.
- K - Transition to Upper level.
- L - Grain siding /Loop.
- M - Junction to garage shed.
- N - A busy station, but not that big. The passing loop is at
one end of the station. This is the first station laid with track
- O - Oil siding.
- P - The second biggest station on the layout, still being a 4 track yard.
- Q - Turning triangle,Oil siding and loco area for P. Also junction to Stub ended staging in "R".
- R - Stub ended staging representing a branchline
- S - Transision to the Upper return loop staging, end of modelled layout.
- T - Upper return loop staging starts here with a railmotor siding and a long loop for the container train, the main staging are above it.
- U - Upper return loop staging proper. there is a long stub ended siding for the XPT.
