The big picture:
Update 15th October 2014
Page 1

Decided to return to Emerald primarily to measure the station. Had just purchased a excellant ILM kit of a standard 30ft station. Only looking at the photos it shows how different Emerald station is today. So i will have to modify the kit or use it to assist me to scratchbuild the moern day version, or use it. Well there's still a lot of time to decide. If I cannot build the station I have this excellant kit. So if I do end up with two stations, one will
live on the layout, the other perhaps on another layout.

So arriving at Emerald to find the NRT out in 3 road, and stuff happening, did the right thing to let the workers and the stationmaster know my intentions - I started to measure the station. In due course 7A arrived from Belgrave. Then a while later 6A came through headed back to Belgrave. Later again 12A arrived and went into 2 road from Lakeside 14A then arrived from Belgrave. It departed first, then 12A departed to Belgrave. Was good to see a cross in action.

Finished up for the day and left them in peace, they were getting ready for a Thomas weekend.
