The Costerfield Line - Rebuilding the Great Caravan Railway
Home

Pictures taken moving the caravan.

Mark recently moved the caravan from his parent's property to his own home. This was a big task - since the caravan had not moved for the last 16 years!

The moving went fairly well, with the tractor to push it out on it's own wheels, then for safety winched onto a tilt-tray truck for actual transport. The caravan was delivered safely to the shed, where it will be gradually stripped to pull the layout out of and into the new rooms.

Damage was expected and there is a 2 inch drop on one side affecting the layout. In all it went fairly well. The danger here is considering getting the layout operational !
Putting some air into those tyres.
The tractor ready to push the caravan out of its resting place.
The tractor slowly moved the caravan down to the truck.
Onto the tray-truck.
On the road, about 3/4 the way to the new resting place.
Arrived. Now to unload.
In the shed, ready to be peeled like a sardine.
To the top
